About Dan West

Inspired by Dan's own experiences, the storytelling of Hayao Miyazaki and music from artists including Bon Iver and Sam Fender, he manifests his inspirations in his drawings. His main body of work focuses on the relationship between people and their environment, finding stories in every day life. Dan's work varies in size and material, with a consistent eye for narrative.

Off the back of filming in July, Dan made it to the semi-finals of Landscape Artist of the Year 2026! His initial heat took place at Keswick and he competed against part-time and professional artists for a place in the next round. You can see Dan in action on Sky TV catch up!

Dan works full time in the marketing, branding and graphic design of events. He has also had experience in a range of industries, including music, hospitality and finance.
