About Dan West

Inspired by Dan's own experiences, the storytelling of Hayao Miyazaki and music from artists including Bon Iver and Sam Fender, he manifests his inspirations in his drawings. His main body of work focuses on the relationship between people and their environment, finding stories in every day life. Dan's work varies in size and material, with a consistent eye for narrative.

Off the back of filming in July, Dan will appear on Landscape Artist of the Year 2026, coming out in February. His heat will take place at Keswick and he will be competing against part-time and professional artists for a place in the semi-final. 

​

Dan works full time in the marketing, branding and graphic design of events. He has also had experience in a range of industries, including music, hospitality and finance.
